🌨️ Weather Update: E-Learning Day 🌨️
Due to the weather conditions, we will have an E-Learning day on Monday, January 26th, to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff. Paper packets will be sent home due to the uncertainty with power outages.
Teachers will provide instructions and support for the day’s learning and will be available to assist families by Email or ClassDojo from 9:00–11:00 AM, so please reach out during that time if you have any questions or need assistance.
In the event we have a 2-hour delay after Monday’s E-Learning day, the schedule will be: Carline drop-off 9:30–10:00 AM, tardy starting at 10:05 AM.

Due to the weather forecast, our Stallion Swap Day scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed. The safety of our students, families, and staff always comes first, and we would much rather stay safe and reschedule than have our families on the road. 💙

Our 4th and 5th grade student volunteers are training to be safety leaders! They are helping younger students cross streets safely, assisting with car rider duties, and managing student flow during arrival and dismissal. As peer mentors, they’re learning responsibility, leadership, and teamwork while helping keep our school village safe, smooth, and organized.
We’re so proud of these students for stepping up to help our Village!
It’s almost here! On January 24th, families are invited to join in our Stallion Swap 🐎✨ Bring in gently used clothing your child has outgrown and swap it for something new-to-them!
This is a fun way to recycle, save money, and support our school community—win, win, win! 💚
Our first grade class had an amazing time at A Midsummer Night’s Dream Ballet at the Arts Center of Kershaw County this morning!
One of our students summed it up best: “Wow! That was not boring at all!” 😄✨
Horse Creek Academy–Kershaw is excited to announce our first annual Stallion Soirée, a special evening of music and dancing for our students! The dance will be held at Rock Bottom Pond, generously provided by one of our HCAK families. The night will include a DJ, desserts and refreshments, and a fun photo opportunity for students and their special guests!
This event is open only to Horse Creek Academy Kershaw students and the adult(s) (18+) attending with them—no non-HCAK students will be permitted. Additional details regarding registration and payment to attend will be shared in February. Mark your calendars and get ready for a memorable night at the Stallion Soirée!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade GATE students explored entrepreneurship by creating their own products and services, then pitching them Shark Tank–style. With parent volunteers serving as our “sharks,” students impressed everyone with their budgeting, marketing skills, and persuasive pitches. Amazing job to all our young entrepreneurs!
